Volunteer Opportunities

Brain injury survivors are somewhat like high school students ― they’re working to refine their critical-thinking skills, responsibly enjoy a fuller social life, and determine their future path. Their ultimate goal is to become more self-directed, independent and productive.

We need volunteers to help grow our small nonprofit and to support people who otherwise end up living in the shadow of society.

If you’re a PEOPLE PERSON, you can…

  • plan and organize support group speakers and special activities;
  • mentor survivors in planning and organization skills, such as how to make a To-Do list, create a grocery list, or break down a big project into smaller steps; or
  • just be a friend.

We need CREATIVE TYPES for …

  • updating our website or Facebook page, doing some tweeting, etc.;
  • finding ways to reach survivors in the local community (also known as “outreach”).

If you like OFFICE WORK, there’s always …

  • making reminder phone calls;
  • doing online research;
  • helping with mailings (collating, folding, stuffing, stamping and such); or
  • filing (and then you will be our new best friend).
