Speakers Bureau
Part of our mission is to educate the general public and decision-makers about the profound lack of services and support that survivors need if they are to successfully live in the community and avoid institutionalization.
Brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. And we as a compassionate society must not let survivors slip between the cracks or become marginalized. That's the message.
Our survivors are eager to address your group, tell their stories, and explain what you can do -- yes, even just one person at a time -- to support their efforts to live more independently. (Note: This is not a fishing expedition for donations. We speak to raise awareness, not money.)
We can tailor a presentation to any age group, any audience, any timeframe. In just 10 minutes we can brief you on the silent epidemic that is brain injury and how you can avoid some of its causes.
Give us 30 minutes to an hour, and you'll hear the personal stories of survivors -- people who may have lived a life much like yours, before a car accident, stroke or sports mishap changed their lives forever.
Once you understand the devastating impact a brain injury has on an individual, and on his or her family and friends, you'll never take your own life for granted again.
And you will literally applaud our survivor-speakers' spirit, tenacity, adaptability and resilience. You won't soon forget their faces or their words.
