Connections to Community Services

Once a brain injury survivor is back home, he or she will need to rebuild a whole new life -- and maybe even a new identity -- around the disability.

This is the time to marshal all your resources. It will call for a lot of problem-solving. Just one problem: Most brain injuries impair a survivor's ability to problem-solve. (How cruelly ironic.)

Although services specifically for people with brain injury are few and far between, some community resources can help a survivor build a new life for him/herself. Of course, they're often hard to find.

We have developed a strong network of connections to social services and agencies that can help. We also can introduce you to tools, strategies and accommodations that can compensate for your compromised abilities.
